This is a 16 inch shamanic drum made from Red Deer rawhide and is a special drum in that it was birthed at the time of the Spring Equinox. The Spring Equinox is a time of growth and to amplify these energies we have set a Moss Agate crystal in the handle.
The hoop is English Ash waxed with bees wax from rescued bees and we have painted a triskelion on the inside. This is an old Celtic symbol. The tension ring is wrapped in a suede and the fluffy fabric finishes off the handle so that it is really comfortable to hold.
This drum comes with an added unique feature. There is a tiny hole on the side of the drum, which was created when the stag was alive. It won’t impact on the drum in any way. It just adds to the animals story.
The energy of Moss Agate
The Moss Agate crystal enhances mental concentration, persistence, endurance and bringing goals to completion. It is an excellent stone to use in transformational work, as it promotes the sense of all things being provided for us within creation. It’s grounding and balancing energy helps you to discard old patterns so you can align yourself fully with your Higher Self. Moss Agate will assist you in bringing dreams into reality by helping you to hold clearly your inner vision and enabling you to bring ideas and concepts into being.

The energy of Red Deer
When we encounter the Red Deer in the wild, our breath catches and we are transfixed by their graceful features and delicate movements. We can draw on their energy to give us the power to deal with challenges with grace. As Red Deer holds a real gentleness, we can be sensitive and intuitive was we walk our path. We can also hold onto vigilance and also adaptability, with the ability to change direction quickly should we need to. Just as the deer has an uncanny sense of where to find the green freshness earth provides, we can ask the deer within ourselves to seek out our inner treasures.
About the making of this drum
We make our drums from our home on the edge of the West Pennine Moors in the northwest of England. We create the drums in sacred space each drum is birthed through ceremony, over mugwort incense.
We also take great care in the sourcing of our materials. The Red Deer hide used to make this drum is from Scotland and the timber for the Ash hoop is sourced from UK ash and is crafted by a local carpenter in Wigan. The wood has a layer of bees wax to bring out it’ natural grain. The wax is from bees which have been rescued.
