18″ “New Moon” Shamanic Drum. Reindeer hide & Moonstone for Intuition

This is an 18-inch shamanic drum made from Reindeer rawhide with a Moonstone crystal in the handle, bringing with it the energy of intuition. It was birthed at the time of the August new moon and we have painted an owl motif on the inside of the wooden hoop. Owl represents the wisdom we gain from dropping into the darkness.

This drum is made from Reindeer hide and the hoop is English Ash waxed with bees wax from rescued bees. The tension ring is wrapped in a suede and the fluffy fabric finishes off the handle so that it is really comfortable to hold.

About the making of this drum

We make our drums from our home in the Silverdale and Arnside Area of Natural Beauty on the Lancashire coast, northwest England. We create the drums in sacred space and awakening them in ceremony over incense.

We also take great care in the sourcing of our materials. The Red Deer hides used to make our drums come from Scotland and the Reindeer hides come from Finland. The timber for the Ash hoop is sourced from UK ash and is crafted by a local carpenter in Wigan. The wood has a layer of beeswax to bring out its natural grain. The wax is from bees which have been rescued.
