16″ ‘Moon of Winds’ Full Moon Shamanic Drum. Reindeer with Green Moonstone

This is a 16 inch shamanic drum made from Reindeer rawhide and is a really special drum in that it was birthed at the time of the Moon of Winds Full Moon in March 2021. Our medieval ancestors called this moon the Moon of Winds in recognition of the winds that come this time of year in the UK.

The hoop is English Ash waxed with bees wax from rescued bees. We have painted a wind motif inside the hoop and we have set a Green Moonstone crystal in the handle. The tension ring is wrapped in a suede and the fluffy fabric finishes off the handle so that it is really comfortable to hold.

This is a special note for European drum buyers. As the UK is no longer part of the EU, Value Added Tax (VAT) is added to the cost of this product. This charge is in addition to what you pay here in our shop. You will be asked to pay this via the courier once we have dispatched your parcel. About the making of this drum

We make our drums from our home on the edge of the West Pennine Moors in the northwest of England. We create the drums in sacred space each drum is birthed through ceremony, over mugwort incense.

We also take great care in the sourcing of our materials. The Red Deer hide used to make this drum is from Scotland and the timber for the Ash hoop is sourced from UK ash and is crafted by a local carpenter in Wigan. The wood has a layer of bees wax to bring out it’ natural grain. The wax is from bees which have been rescued.
