18″ Blue Moon Shamanic Drum. Reindeer with Galaxite crystal handle

This is an 18-inch shamanic drum made from Reindeer rawhide and is a special drum as it was birthed at the time of the Blue Moon in May, which is called the Hare Moon.

We have placed a galxite crystal in the handle and painted a hare motif on the inside of the wooden hoop.

The hoop is English Ash waxed with beeswax from rescued bees, and the tension ring is wrapped in suede with fluffy fabric finishing off the handle so that it is really comfortable to hold.

About the making of this drum

We make our drums from our home in the Silverdale and Arnside Area of Natural Beauty on the Lancashire coast, northwest England. We create the drums in sacred space and awakening them in ceremony over incense.

We also take great care in the sourcing of our materials. The Red Deer hides used to make our drums come from Scotland and the Reindeer hides come from Finland. The timber for the Ash hoop is sourced from UK ash and is crafted by a local carpenter in Wigan. The wood has a layer of beeswax to bring out its natural grain. The wax is from bees which have been rescued.
